I’m going to share my story of reintroducing eggs, beef & seafood into my diet after 3+ years of being vegan. Soon 🙏🏽
First I’d like to say that I was introduced to aerial silks about 6 months into veganism. I practiced for months & still didn’t have the strength that I do here.
Before becoming vegan I worked at a movie theater in high school. Ate lots of candy + popcorn. Got stoned with friends everyday & ate fast food after school. I did my research and wanted to reclaim my health.
*Trigger warning. Like many girls, I struggled with an eating disorder as a teenager. At first, being vegan allowed me to repair my relationship with food. I now saw the value of nutrition & intentionally ate food to nourish my body.
Sustainability is a strong value of mine, as well as kindness to all sentient beings. The allure of veganism was helping your health, animals, & the earth. I see it differently now.
I encourage everyone to do research on how their diet affects the environment; vegan, vegetarian, carnivore, paleo, etc. This is not the main idea of this thread, but after doing my own research I found that veganism is not as sustainable as they'd like you to think.
