Y’all, Haikyuu fandom was dead for like 2+ years while the anime was on hiatus. Silent. Basically tumbleweeds. Just because people have been excited for its return doesn’t mean we are pissing on all the other sports anime out there.

And YES I’ve seen a bunch of sports anime—it’s my favorite genre. So don’t come with the bullshit that it’s cz Haikyuu!! is “mainstream”. F*cking KnB was as mainstream as one could get in its short run: it was super popular. Do ya have amnesia??

And to end this thread, gonna be salty right back: I’ve seen countless sports anime and Haikyuu!! is downright the most realistic and best written one. THATS why people who love the sports genre and DONT love the sports genre are attracted to it. THATS why it’s so wildly popular.
