Okay so I am really afraid of being dragged for my thoughts but I would also really appreciate someone else's view on them.I feel like toxicity and toxic behaviour on a whole shouldn't be a genderised thing. Like you can't be a 'toxic feminist' (the ones that want to oppress men)
Because feminism is about equality. So you can't be pushing inequality and be feminist, that just makes you a toxic person. Also masculinity isn't inherently toxic, so to have the term 'toxic masculinity' exist just doesn't make sense to me; same thing with 'toxic feminity'.
Like people so quick to put 'toxic' in front of terms that we're confusing the meanings of words while also blurring real issues. I also feel like a lot of men hate on feminism because they fail to differentiate b/n a feminist and a misandrist. Also, misogyny...
Misandry, Hypermasculinity and hyper-femininity are all toxic behaviours that are harmful to all genders but they are arguably a product of the larger issue of Patriarchy.
