We soft launched @LiftoffGGW less than three weeks ago and we'd love if you followed it and read some stuff. Let's highlight some stuff for your consideration.
We tagged in someone we first collaborated with back in 2010/2011 to get us thinking. Here's @D3stiny_Sm4sher on Outer Wilds. Don't worry, it's spoiler free https://liftoffmag.com/exploring-the-outer-wilds/
We met @Jupiter_Hadley and this wonderful list of user created mini-games in #ACNH
became one of our fav pieces because of how it inspired our own creativity https://liftoffmag.com/animal-crossing-players-are-creating-inventive-mini-games-in-new-horizons/

Our @evkmack, an economics teacher as one of his many hats, saw parallels between utopian socialist Robert Owen and controversial tanuki Tom Nook. We're convinced: the similarities are too many. https://liftoffmag.com/tom-nook-is-a-socialist/
We've come to appreciate @UnabridgedGamer for surfacing games you probably missed when they were new. This guy is a master of talking games that aren't currently front of mind. He makes the case they should be, Here's Amazing Spider-Man 2 https://liftoffmag.com/unmasking-peter-parker-grief-and-loss-in-amazing-spider-man-2/
We've brought our own Good Games Writing selection of curated reads from around the Internet. Here was the first one we did https://liftoffmag.com/good-games-writing-weekly-may-9-2020/ and the second https://liftoffmag.com/good-games-writing-weekly-may-16-2020/

It's not a normal blend of gaming coverage on @LiftoffGGW either. @aaronhudspeth reviews chiptunes for us in brief https://liftoffmag.com/now-listening-to-formula-maintained-robyn-a1200/
There's a decidedly Canadian bend to what we cover and how we cover it too. Did you know the new Pokemon tv series is already airing in Canada? And that Canadians made the theme song? https://liftoffmag.com/pokemon-journeys-arrives-in-north-america/
Of course, sometimes we just want to run more traditional gaming features, and this one from @tierknee on the biggest guest character ever is a great example https://liftoffmag.com/playstations-all-star-why-cloud-strife-is-still-super-smash-bros-biggest-inclusion/
So, too, is this list of the best Assassin's Creed games from @MolotovCupcake https://liftoffmag.com/assassins-creed-ranked/
We've even been dipping our toes into tabletop coverage, though still trying to really get a sense of how that'll work, and old friend @Gear12_Turbo did it well with his list of D&D alternatives https://liftoffmag.com/five-dungeons-dragons-alternatives-you-can-play-online/
We're at the experimental stage of all of this. @DMGCole is helping us figure out what ongoing Overwatch League coverage may look like https://liftoffmag.com/defiant-fend-off-surging-titans-to-qualify-for-may-melee/ while @evkmack is doing the same for Marvel Puzzle Quest https://liftoffmag.com/opinion-marvel-puzzle-quests-black-widow-tie-in-misses-the-mark/
It's by no means a perfect website but it has been a fun experiment for us to play with. We're ultimately trying to target a teenage audience, their family, and educators, and so far we're happy with the results.
We hope you read, engage, and, when the time comes, pitch us!
