The Syro-Malabar Church. One that is valued with over 3,00,000 lakh crores of assets. It has absolute control over more than 10,000 establishments.

The most powerful Church Sect under the umbrella of The Syro Malabar Church is CMA.

The CMA alone has 1514 institutions under it. This includes schools, colleges, hospitals, orphanages etc

The Syro Malabar has 77 such sects under its jurisdiction.

The Church has has at least 50 establishments that can be listed in the stock exchange by value of their assets.

If you calculate the annual income of all establishments under it, no other business/organisation comes even close to it in terms of money or assets.

Since it comes under the minority tag, it doesn’t have to file income tax returns or pay taxes. So no one knows the real value of their holdings.

The real estate value of the land they hold all over India & abroad is estimated at 1000s of crores.

The Syro Malabar Church not only doesnt have to pay taxes or declare assets, it is outside purview of audit as well. Which means you cannot find out how they spend their money. It could be drugs/weapons, for all u know. Or it could be pure charity, but I wouldnt bet on that.

Syro Malabar Church cant be considered as just a religious organisation. It's a powerful business organisation that lies outside scrutiny of govt agencies.

So when Kerala CM took 5cr from Guruvayur Temple FDs, why did he not sell some Church land & take a few crores from there?

Correction: the amount mentioned above is 3 Lakh crores, not 300,000 lakh crores.
