4x7 you can literally see Dean being conflicted over how he feels about how demanding Cas is and Cas looking into his eyes and feeling doubt in heaven and faith in a human

4x7 on the bench. Cas being proud of Dean for making the right choice. Cas confiding in Dean already trusting him enough to hold his secret doubts... doubts that very well could get him killed because heavens rules are so strict. He feels for him. He feels for this human.

4x9 when Cas walks in at the end and Dean immediately thinks he’s there to help. He already trusts him (at least a little which is a lot for Dean) back. ~profound bond~

4x10 Cas feels guilt for having to take Anna. Then he feels shocked/confused when he sees Dean and Anna kiss. It’s him seeing the result of Anna’s rebellion and that Dean can trust/“fall” for an Angel. I believe that this plants a huge seed for his rebellion.

4x10 Dean saves Cas. It means... everything.

4x15 “why don’t you just ask?”

Dean tells Cas that people don’t deserve to die. Cas basically says that’s life. Dean says “you made an exception for me” Cas says “you’re different.”
He acknowledges that Dean is special and he leaves because (I think) that thought terrifies him

4x16 Cas can’t help himself, he has to empathize with Dean. Dean notices/shows concern when Uriel “puts Cas back in his place”

He begs /Cas/ to not make him torture. He /knows/ he sees the cracks in Cas’s loyalty to heaven
