the worst part of following a lot of publishing/bookish people on Twitter is when you see someone talking about a book and they make you want it SUPER BAD

but it's not out yet

it's not out for months

they had an ARC and you still don't know how to get ARCs apparently

ways I've gotten ARCs:

- friends who know how to get ARCs say "I'm decluttering my books, do you want these"
- I found out I can ask my agent for books that her other clients wrote and if ARCs are available she'll send me one??? wtf
- ????????????????????? find them in a tree

ways I keep trying to get ARCs:

- tweet about how excited I am for a book a mutual wrote and hope they just spontaneously offer??? this has worked a couple times

- think REALLY REALLY HARD about how much I want it and hope that does.....something
