(1)For the 2nd day in a row it was chaos mixed with wasted resources, courtesy of DC 911. It keeps occurring because @OUC_DC won't require workers to know the city where they work. If trained well, they'd know there's both Anacostia Rd & Anacostia Ave near each other in NE.(more)
(2) LISTEN: Yesterday, units were originally sent to Anacostia Ave for a shooting that occurred 3/4s of a mile away on Anacostia Rd. Well trained workers would know these "gotchas" & pieced this together much sooner or prevented it from happening. (more)
(3) LISTEN: On Thursday, @OUC_DC tied up 8 @dcfireems units unnecessarily for 15-minutes because they didn't know that Beach Dr & Joyce Rd is extremely close to where Beach goes under Military Rd. (more)
(4) It's no exaggeration errors due to not knowing DC & wasted resources by dispatching duplicate calls occur multiple times an hour. Every duplicate call means @dcfireems units not available for real emergencies. A run to the wrong location means delayed help for someone. (more)
(5) @Evan_Yeats, ANC 4B & others are trying to get @ODCA_DC to do a long overdue audit/investigation of @OUC_DC. In the scores of incidents like these I've reported since October, no one in charge has disputed any facts. And no one has done anything to fix the problem. (more)
(6) Real @OUC_DC oversight by @charlesallen is non-existent. He sees no #DC911CRISIS. He has "no position" on OUC's failure to do an @NTSB recommended independent audit of 911 operations. Allen ignored my evidence & urging in January for an outside investigation. (more)
(7) @CMCharlesAllen has shown more interest in dealing with 311 problems than the life & death issues at 911. When he does question a 911 failure, Allen is so ill-informed on OUC operations he falls for nonsensical double-talk from the director. Never a decent follow-up. (more)
(8) Somehow @charlesallen forgets it's his own constituents being harmed due to a 911 center that's unable each day to perform its primary mission of rapidly & accurately dispatching @dcfireems & @DCPoliceDept. What will it take to convince Allen there's a #DC911CRISIS? (more)
(9) @CMCharlesAllen has another @OUC_DC hearing on June 9. Will he be better prepared? Will he ask about the constant duplicate calls, wasted resources, delayed responses, general incompetence & chaos at DC 911? Will he ever hold Karima Holmes accountable for this mess? (more)
(10) It's clear @MayorBowser & @SafeDC won't hold Holmes & @OUC_DC accountable. They're constantly covering for them. Not only was there no @NTSB audit, @OUC_DC was the only agency involved in the Kennedy Street tragedy that wasn't part of the outside investigation. (more)
(11) With @MurielBowser, whenever you ask about a 911 failure, her standard answer is @OUC_DC is run by a "phenomenal leader" and that DC "is lucky to have her". Somehow, the facts about a failing 911 center & the people who suffer because of it never matter. (more)
