First off , clase Azul is a honorable mention.

It’s 100 bucks a bottle. You are paying tho for the bottle cause it is beautiful. It’s a great beginner tequila(lol) because It’s sweet. Almost artificially sweet. Like caramel. But i don’t think I’ll pay for it again

Ok actual onto the actual list.

Cazadores is my favorite mid shelf tequila. You can get it cheap on sale at BevMo or total for around 25 bucks.

Great mixer that doesn’t over power a cocktail , and it isn’t as harsh taking shot as comparable tequila.
I like the resposado.

Next up is Don Julio 70. It is more expensive , but it’s delicious. It’s about 50-60 bucks a bottle depending where you get it from. Could be 70 at other liquor stores. I do not recommend this as a mixer. It’s one of the smoothest shots available. Pour up a full cup and sip on it

#3 is Tequila Ocho. The reposado(surprise) is amazing. You can also mix it in a cocktail, but it is about 60 bucks a bottle so idk if you’d like to dilute it. It has a slight vanilla aftertaste which makes it a great shot that you don’t need a chase with

#2 is Fortaleza Reposado. I fucking love this tequila. It’s about 55-65 bucks. The absolute best bang for your buck imo. Everything about it perfection. The shot tastes citrusy, like apples lol. This should be #1. 100%. Seriously , try it. Amazing mixer as well. But try a shot

Alright #1. Yes it’s 1942 lmfaoo. It is worth the hype. Yes it is expensive and should be a special event tequila , unless your balling like that and can afford it on the daily. Yes you should try it. Yes it lives up to the hype. Drink it like orange juice
