This person’s take assumes that voting and tweeting are the only things you can do that matter.

It’s not wrong if someone’s participation in democracy is just voting and tweeting. But it’s wrong and condescending to assume that that’s all anyone does.
Grassroots activists and organizers work their hearts out on these campaigns. And we owe our public conversations a more thoughtful approach than outrage.
If you have to be mad, be mad at Republicans in DC who refuse to be a check on this inept administration whose incompetent leadership has resulted in 100,000+ dead Americans. Call your Senators. Call your Representatives.
But trying to stir outrage because a front runner emerged clearly in a national nominating contest is a lazy take.

Take all that pent up rage at the ‘establishment’ and turn it into action for someone on your ballot.
This election is too damn important. And while everyone has a right to take their ball and go home, I feel an obligation to let you know that that’s exactly what Donald Trump wants you to do.
