I've been really supportive of @GovTimWalz 's work so far, but I'm surprised at this church building re-opening announcement...
1. I'm deeply concerned that churches won't be able to practice or enforce social distancing measures to a degree that will be safe.
2. I'm deeply concerned that churches, especially small ones like mine, will have to choose between continuing at-home worship or preparing for in-building worship, and if we focus on in-building worship, we'll leave the vulnerable behind.
3. Is 25% capacity with no hugging, no passing of the peace, no coffee hour, no communion, no singing worth it? Part of me would rather stay home.
4. This last bit is a bit sarcastic: ...why would you announce this on a SATURDAY? Give us more than 24 hours to prep, my man!
