Imam Abu Muhammad Abdullah b. Yusuf al-Juwayni (d.438H)

Before I proceed, I would to like to show the readers how some modern YouTubers have an atrocious selective & amnesiac memory and brains of @BroHajji - in his shoddy diatribe, what he termed a refutation of
Me, he said I share statements of the Imams of Ahl al-Sunnah and highlight them, alleging this is all that I do in a denigrating way & mocks this. With a closed brain, he failed to realise he does the same in his videos. 2. He claims, no one reads & that I should show my face by
Responding via a YouTube video. Again 'brains for hire for 10 pence' forgets that he reads to make his videos & then he puts the text for everyone to read. Video or no video things will be coming his way. 3 Conceited individuals like him don't learn any other way except in their
In their own language, a language which resonates with him, it's a way he will understand, old school. As for brothers who continue to say, speak to him nicely, yes that's a good first approach but individuals like @BroHajji won't learn. A mere glance of no more than a minute of
His videos will show absolute arrogance, an obnoxious & vile approach, yet this new kid claims others are arrogant. A sign that he's oblivious & bewildered in his self delusional mind, which didn't even know the Sunni Aqidah until very recently, mind you - he still doesn't.
More about him & his muqallids later, inshallah.

Abu Muhammad al-Juwayni who died in 438H, was the father of Abu'l Ma'ali al-Juwayni (478H), Imam al-Haramayn. He says he was confused about 3 matters, Sifat, Fawqiyyah & Harf. wal-Sawt, he authors his amazing work
"Risalah Fi Ithbat al-Istiwa wa'l Fawqiyyah wa Masala al-Harf wa'l Sawt fi'l Quran al-Majid wa Tanziyyah al-Bari An al-Hasr wa'l Tamthil wa'l Kayfiyyah".

In the book, the Imam overwhelming proves, evidences, supports & propagates the creed of the Salaf, the Orthodox Sunni creed
He brings Ayat, Ahadith and Athar in this regard. I've picked up on a specific statement by which we can draw some important principles.

Al-Juwayni says: transmitted Uthman b. Sa'id al-Darimi who said al-Hasan b. Saleh narrated to us, who said Ali b. al-Hasan b. Shaqiq on the
Authority of Ibn al-Mubarak, that it was said to him: "How do we know our Rabb"? He (Ibn al-Mubarak) said: "By (knowing) he is above the Seven Heavens on his Arsh which is separate from his creation." (Risalah Fi'l Ithbat, 27 (Alexandria, Dar al-Basirah, ?) Ed. Nabil Saleh
Abd al-Majid Salim. The researcher authenticates and references this statement through a plethora of sources, namely the other books on the Aqidah of Ahl al-Sunnah. He adds in the footnote from Imam Ibn Taymiyyah that he said in his Majmu'a al-Fatawa 5:184.

"This statement is
Well known from Ibn al-Mubarak and it is established from him through many routes. Likewise it is authentically established from Ahmad b. Hanbal and Ishaq b. Rahwayh and other Imams."

Benefits
1 - Imam Ibn al-Mubarak is asked about our Rabb and knowing him. He replies, he is
Above the 7 heavens above his Arsh. Meaning, this is how we know our Rabb.

2 - There was no kalami philosophical polemics, a straight clear answer.

3 - He establishes a direction by saying Fawq, or above, this is how it is understood.

4 - How does a person ask a great Imam
Like Ibn al-Mubarak about knowing Allah and he says above, meaning he must answer him with the truth and the true Aqidah, thereby stating that believing in this creed is synonymous with knowing Allah. This is supported by the Hadith of the slave girl ie Iman
5 - Imam Ibn al-Mubarak, he is also careful to alleviate Allah, The Mighty from Tashbih & every other deviant Aqidah like the Hulul & the Wahdatul Wujud of the Sufis, by saying he is separate from the creation.

6 - The plethora of references by other leading Sunni Theologians is
Another undeniable reality they all held onto this Sunni Salafi Aqidah, in opposition to the people of deviation, the Jahmis, Mu'tazilah, Ash'aris & Maturidis.

7 - The great Imams, Ahmad b. Hanbal and Ishaq b. Rahawayh had the exact same belief.

8 - There was no tafwidh
And by saying Fawq, he refute the Aqidah of the misguided people who claim the creed of the Salaf & the early Hanabillah was Tafwidh al-Ma'na, because the meaning of Fawq is well known, even by the young.

9 - He says above the 7 heavens on the Arsh, again proving the Aqidah
Of the Sunni Salafis and supported by numerous Ayat that mention Allah's Istiwa over the Arsh - Allah's Throne.

10 - The fact that Imam Ibn al-Mubarak answers how do we know our Rabb ie Kayfa Ta'rafu Rabbana. He answers the part Kayfa and answering the Kayfa with He is above
The 7 Heavens on the Arsh, is a crushing blow to the Mufawwidah because he defines & explains Kayfa with a known meaning while also making Tafwid of the Kayfiyyah by saying "separate from the creation"

With what face do some detractors, some modern deviants who claim they are
Hanbalis claim the Salaf, Imam Ahmad and his companions were upon the creed of Tafwid al-Ma'na?

The chief innovator, Gibril Fouad Haddad had nightmares about this book of Al-Juwayni and rejects it's authenticity. Obviously the truth hurts. Again, we find even up until 438H
The scholars rejected the ta'wil and tafwidh of the Ash'ari Maturidi Jahmis. Imam al-Haramayn learnt from his father and it's not surprising that he also rejected and retracted from this creed, which was intermixed with kalam and philosophy.

@BroHajji wait.

Eid Mubarak Everyone
