An interesting thing I've noticed is that most people still basically "like" the Christ even if they're not Christian, hate Christianity, hate Christians, etc. It's a very rare personality that does otherwise, such as the antinatalist Peter Zapffe, who called Christ a sociopath
Of course, Zapffe's magnum opus was called The Last Messiah, about an extremely Christ-like figure preaching Zapffe's antinatalist message and getting killed by the mob for it. Seems like he was just jelly
Ragnar Redbard is perhaps more vicious than anyone towards Christ in his book Might is Right. Comparatively, Nietzsche goes easy on Him and definitely seems to possess a certain amount of admiration
I think also of U.G. Krishnamurti, who towards the end of his life declared, "If Jesus were here in this room, I would shit on Him" (insert obligatory Indian joke here)
Of course, all the men I've been talking about had very fiery, self-willed, contrarian personalities. The average bugsoyperson, if they casually shit on Christ, is far different in how they sound
Most people who have a bone to pick with Christianity will direct their attacks against The Father. But when some normie is mad at the Son they tend to sound like a pretty shallow and unfeeling personality with no reverence for the soul
One of the more weighty criticisms of Christianity is that it encourages mankind to hate itself, yet at the same time I feel anyone who flippantly says "Fuck Jesus" hates mankind. Usually I'm proven right
There are two types of misanthropes: people who get pissed off about their daily encounters with individuals, and people who see nothing moving in the idea of humans and our history. The former are just oversensitive but I don't trust the latter very much at all
And ironically, the type of misanthrope who loves to not just mock Christ but put down all humans as "dumb pink animals" or whatever is never some sort of master-moralist but always some supposed bleeding-heart whose moral code is just "Be kind" with no more thought behind it
I've also tended to notice that these are some of the least kind people, always so faux-scandalized by their fellow human beings' lack of kindness that they're ready to drag them down to the torture chamber
Conclusion: Even if you aren't a Christian there is something very connecting to all our hearts in the Christian story and when someone doesn't even say some basic NPC "Christ was a good moral teacher" thing yet has no real reason for this I fear that they are pretty lost
