115 obstertricians & gynaecologists who stand with Albertans to celebrate, comfort, give strength and mourn in the most intimate of circumstances, have written an open letter to @shandro & the UCP re: their "deep dismay at the broken relationship between gov't and doctors.# ableg

They write that they know the importance of teamwork to face life & death crises - they lead but don't succeed on their own.

They want to work similarly w/ gov't to protect & provide care for Albertans but the relationship "has plummeted into a poison well of distrust." #ableg

"you have abruptly torn up our contract, sidelined the AMA, and unilaterally imposed a sea of changes without consultation with doctors.

We are deeply worried about the long-term viability of our practices, and deeply worried about
the well-being of our patients." #ableg

"We hold onto the hope that the relationship can be restored.

But that will require that you come back to the table to meet with doctors.

We must have a contract with government if we are to move ahead with a joint sense of purpose." #ableg
