Tell me something...how does one build a large platform? Somewhat discouraged here bc I’ve sent a book proposal out. I’ve been told before that it’s a good idea but I don’t have a big enough platform. And I get it! It’s a business & publishing relies heavily on author’s existing
platform to sell books to their audience. I get it. I’ve done the conferences. But it’s discouraging when you’ve been told your writing & idea is good, but it’s a no bc of platform.
Please, don’t hear this as whining or poor me. On the contrary, I get it. It’s just discouraging.

I’m willing to put in the work to grow bc I believe in the message of the book that’s in me that I believe will some day come to fruition.
But I also feel the cringe to try & build a platform bc it feels like pining for popularity. & friends, THAT IS NOT WHAT THIS IS.

I’m not here for the popularity. Heavens. I’m not yearning to be famous or popular by any means. I’ve seen what it’s done & I don’t want that. What I do want tho is to minister the gospel & to make people laugh and think & love Jesus more.
All of this to say, if you’d give me a follow, I’d appreciate it. I love dialogue. I want to make your following me worth your time. Scroll through my tweets & see. I like hard topics along with the funny and absurd.
Here’s to building something.
RT? Lol!
