Unemployment rates as of April 2020:

- Germany: 4%
- Denmark: 6%
- Finland: 8%
- Portugal: 9%
- France: 10%
- United States: 14.7%

And, the US is the only country where you can lose your health care when you become unemployed.

We're not doing enough for working people.
The governments of France, Germany, the UK, Denmark and the Netherlands are all directly paying companies to keep workers on payroll. It's cheaper and more effective than our PPP program.

And yet, @PramilaJayapal's Paycheck Guarantee didn't even pass the Dem controlled House.
We're the wealthiest nation in the world. We're only lacking for justice:

- Nearly 1 in 5 American children don't have enough food to eat.

- Meanwhile, billionaires added $484,000,000,000 to their wealth over the course of the pandemic.
One reason the U.S. has been uniquely hard hit by the crisis:

- Our ruling conservative party doesn't believe in science or facts and supports a leader who suggests taking Clorox.

- Our center-left opposition party does not pursue universal social programs that benefit all.
Working people are just treated worse in the US:

- We're the only wealthy country that doesn’t offer some kind of paid family leave

- The U.S. ranks 30th (out of 36) wealthy countries in disability spending

- We're one of only 9 wealthy countries without universal child-care
