the way people like to correct my slang and colloquialisms while simultaneously throwing in words like “sis” to be cute really bothers me

to the non black people who consume my content: you are loved and you are welcome. but there are going to be jokes and things you may not understand and that’s okay! but it’s not your place to consume and dismiss black culture as you please. and most of yall abuse tf out of ‘sis’

yall are starting to do it with chile too and it’s getting weird I have never in my entire life heard a non black person use the word chile before. not even southerners.

do NB people use that word where you’re from for all my southern followers? am I trippin

when I lived in the Middle East ‘sis’ had different connotations and was truly meant in a sweet and endearing way so if you’re from there and use the word often this doesn’t apply to you. I’m mainly referring to non blacks and/or stan twitter who use it to be condescending
