The biggest question I receive from black girls who want to travel? To this day, it’s whether it’s safe to be black in “x” destination or country. I wish that we didn’t need to question how safe it is to travel, run, exist...in this world.

The world is our oyster too.

To think that some of these girls(and guys) will miss out on seeing the beauty of this world, learning about different cultures, etc BC of this fear....I GET IT, but it also saddens me.

And what am I supposed to say? “Yea you’ll be fine!” They very likely may be, but I can’t guarantee that for them...for us. Only thing I can do is ask that try not to live in fear.
