There's a transparently ridiculous troll gambit going on, intended to cause division among Democrats. Don't fall for it.

It's an attack on Amy Klobuchar, supposedly coming from "the left" (though it's clear most trolls, left or right, are influenced from the same dacha).

1/11
Sen. Klobuchar is reportedly being considered by Joe Biden as a VP candidate. So this is really an attack on Joe Biden, should he choose Klobuchar.

Q: Why attack Klobuchar?
A: She's seen by "the left" as a "moderate", and they don't like moderates.

Divide and conquer.

2/11
The real reason to attack Amy is that a supposedly "moderate" VP candidate might cut into Trump's support, and increase the odds of Biden winning states in the Midwest (or at least, that's the political thinking behind nominating a firebrand like Sen Klobuchar).

3/11
Let me stress that, even though I love Amy (I live in Minnesota, and she's my Senator), she isn't my top pick for VP. That's not my point here. I'm not defending her. I want to warn about the attack going on, because it highlights a basic trollish principle.

4/11
This "leftist" attack isn't, "She's not socialist enough!"

No, it's: "She's a Midwestern white woman, so people of color don't like her!"

I'm not going to offer an opinion on whether POC do (or should) like her, other than to say she's popular with POC here in Minnesota.

5/11
I'm not qualified to speak on how a person of color "should" view Amy. Look up her record, and decide for yourself.

My point is, it's hypocritical in the extreme for =this= attack to come from "the left", which until now dismissed civil rights as mere "identity politics."

6/11
Someone on "the left" suddenly being concerned about how people of color view a candidate ignores the history of the primaries. Overwhelmingly, Democratic voters of color rejected "leftist" candidates. We won't forget how unpopular "leftist" candidates were among POC.

7/11
This isn't to say there aren't black or brown people who support socialist ideas and leftist candidates, nor that there aren't POC who dislike Sen Klobuchar.

Anyone can, and should, make any such decisions for themselves based on whatever criteria they see as important.

8/11
It's laughable for "the left" to attack a "moderate" candidate on issues of civil rights and the needs of people of color. We recall the history of the Talibern dismissing such concerns. We were told by them, for years, to ignore racial issues in favor of economics.

9/11
This particular attack on Amy is structured precisely because Democratic "moderates" have a reputation for being supported by the mass of the Democratic base--people of color. That's how Biden smashed Sanders in the primaries.

Trolls attack strengths, not weaknesses.

10/11
Again, Amy isn't my pick for VP, and I hope Biden doesn't select her.

My main point is to watch as the Troll Army attacks Democrats based on their strengths, not their weaknesses.

And watch for them to drive wedges between Democrats to convince some of us to stay home.

10/11
PS As I said at the outset, this is really an attack on Biden, an attempt to cut into his support among people of color, something TrumPutin has been desperate to do since the moment he declared. Even if Biden doesn't pick Klobuchar, he'll be attacked for having considered her.
Yeah, but no. She didn't do that.

I do, however, appreciate your depiction of precisely the hilariously ridiculous faux-leftist trollnoise I mentioned. It's useful in case readers weren't sure this nonsense was really happening.
Trolls tried the exact same attack on Kamala Harris--the "Kamala is a cop!" bullshit. That will come out again if she's Biden's VP choice.

We need someone that close to the President who knows how to prosecute criminals. We've got a lot of criminals to prosecute.
