Like how did this go over my head all this time????? I knew we never got to be ~relatable~, #soquirky, or cute buuuuuuut they really save ALL of the character depth for lighter skinned/mixed characters. Wow.

Dark skin black girls in television and film are notoriously one dimensional but this thread truly puts into perspective how deep that chasm of inequality goes. So when i say we need more dark skin, fully fleshed out female lead roles, I MEAN THAT SHIT.
