Rant: I'm apparently not celebrating this year. Honestly, everything about this makes me mad. Even people who claim to support Hongbin are saying it's better that he not show his face. For how long, exactly? It's already been 3 months. How many times does he need to apologize?

How long does he have to hide his face and beat himself up for netizens to be happy? Because it could be one or five years from now, and the moment a news article comes out saying that he's re-appeared, people are going to go back to abusing him.

And over something so unimportant they'd forgotten about it until that moment.

I fully understand cultural variances and that my view as a westerner is very different from the standard Korean worldview. However, until he's able to be in the public eye again in a positive light

(such as during an EIGHTH ANNIVERSARY, just for example), people are just going to keep bringing up the same negative crap. So even if it was Hongbin's idea to stay away, it would be better from a business perspective to appear.

This would have been a perfect opportunity for him to smile, thank everyone for the many years of love, and say he wants to be a better person going forward. For Jelpi and VIXX to show a strong, united front. And I'm mad at the whole lot of them for not showing him support.

I'm grateful for VIXX, for their music and art, and for the precious Starlights who have become friends and stick together through thick and thin, who show unceasing love to these amazing men who mean so much to us. But I can't celebrate today. It all feels too cruel.
