The biggest problem with home ownership is that you never hear about renters ending up with decades worth of bodies buried in their basements, or tonnes of mummified cats or such, now do you
Home ownership allows someone to spend decades inside their cave, transforming slowly, accumulating.

Years later a body is always found in the basement and everyone is surprised.
You can't pull that stuff as a renter. First, you don't have the money to be going around serial killing. Or the time, due to the first.

Second, many landlords won't even let you have pets, what do you think they'd do about a body collection?
It's the homeowners you gotta worry about, especially the ones who've been living in the same place for decades.

They *definitely* have bodies buried somewhere. Or, a room full of mummified cats.
Every cute little old lady who's been living in the same house for 60 years? She's definitely hidden some bodies in the walls.
Millennials simply don't have the time, money, or financial opportunity to be serial killers the way boomers did, and it's all due to homeownership.
