The biggest Robbery of today’s age is the diamond market. Diamonds are not rare. They are actually very common when compared to other precious minerals like rubies, sapphires and emeralds. They are brought to the surface in ‘Kimberlite pipes’ during certain volcanic eruptions. -
- The fact that they are actually erupted, and brought from depth is what makes diamonds actually quite common. They have very little time to react to the rapid changing conditions which keep them in the form of a diamond. -
- Saphires, rubies and emeralds form in similar environment, however, they form within magmatic chambers where slow cooling forms excellent crystals. During emplacement however, the conditions of these magmas can change quite drastically, -
- which ultimately begin to break down sapphires, rubies and emeralds and begin to form other aluminium oxide minerals in their place. Therefore the delicacy of the conditions needed for their formation is the primary reason that they are much rarer but yet.. -
- cost under half the price. The diamond market is a lie. Get your future fiancé a sapphire ring instead of diamond, they’re much more impressive.
