“Ireland is a Catholic country” I’ve always HATED this non-inclusive statement. Ireland is a country. An island. Full of people of different religions, beliefs and non-beliefs - which they’re all perfectly entitled to.

Also get fucked with “it’s our culture” - Enya, Anne Doyle, Riverdance, Guinness, saying goodbye 50 times at the end of a phone call. THAT’S Irish culture. I’d rather not have a violent & oppressive stain on our past classed as ‘culture’.
