Off the top of my head, I believe I've told two people, without mincing words, "Hi, you're going to get an agent and/or book deal with this particular manuscript. Just letting you know ahead of time!" and it has happened both times.

Like, this isn't something I say lightly because I VERY much don't want to get anyone's hopes up in this soul-crushing industry. But sometimes my gut just tells me, "Yes. Yes, this is going to happen for them," and when they prove themselves and also me right, I get so emotional.
(And for the record, I've yet to tell this to someone who isn't a Black woman or a woman of color! Not ON PURPOSE; that's just how the cookie crumbled. But oh, how I love this particular cookie...!)
