As well as being poorly trusted in comparison to other sectors/industries, my general view is that much of the mainstream media has been utterly woeful in the coronavirus daily briefings.

One of the greatest benefits of a free press, should be having a talented group of individuals who are able to identify weaknesses in policy formulation, scrutinise political decisions made, and question politicians in a robust and informed manner.

Seen very little of this.
As a British democrat, this concerns me.

Much of our democratic system of governance's strength, rests on the quality of the official party opposition and the professionalism of the media industry.

The dominance of personal squabbles and petty one-up-manship, is very worrying.
