As someone still growing in infosec, I turned to Twitter to gain insight and learn from others who are more experienced. I definitely learned a lot and also learned personal things outside of infosec that made me appreciate the community here. I am disappointed and discouraged 1)
that ideas or people in general are being taken out of context and also there’s a lack of empathy to see the other side. Twitter is like a vacuum and it’s getting filled with so much hot air. It’s harder already and mentally speaking this isn’t really helping anyone EOD 2)
It just seems like everyone’s got an agenda and perspective and if I or someone doesn’t agree, they should be shut down and forced to reflect. How we judge wrong or right is a longer story and who is really morally in charge on judging others? If you ostracize groups of ppl 3)
For your own game or perspective than you’re no better either b/c doing so only shows your judgement.

I don’t think twitter is the place to change hearts and minds. I think I might opt to engage back on all the slack groups or Discord servers if this continues to distract 4)
Just my thoughts since as much as I love the folks and convos I’ve had here, I’m seeing so much tweets taking one side of a story or something out of context.

How community is built should not be toxic as ppl will most likely remember actions, how we cared, & helped.
