I think this whole simp culture thing is kinda derailing that in a sense it's misused in certain contexts. Because like the word shouldn't apply in instances where guys are expressing like emotions of sadness in a sense.
There is already a stigma against males expressing any emotion which isn't anger so by using stuff like that it discourages this. People tweet that they like it when guys express emotion but often you'd be the same people to engage in behaviors which discourage that (unknowingly
Moreover, it's even more critical to foster environments in Caribbean households to encourage openess because our culture is deeply rooted with toxic masculinity on many levels.
