If what I’m about to say resonates with you then YOU’RE the problem: if the highlight of your day is putting down people on the internet, don’t you think that’s strange? Why is your only source of happiness derived from other people’s pain?
All this stan Twitter bullshit has made people believe they’re untouchable and that because they’re behind a screen nothing can happen to them.
Words have power. Period. They can affect people in different ways. Some people have tougher skin than others. You may think your words mean nothing but you never know how the person on the other end is taking it.
Use the internet for positive things: talk to friends, research, stream your favorite songs. Don’t use the internet to belittle and project your insecurities onto others. It takes significantly less energy to mind your business and focus on yourself than it does to bully others.
Your follower count means NOTHING. Your internet “popularity” or lack there of means NOTHING. What matters is the impact you leave on this earth. You are worth so much more than measuring your self worth based on internet popularity.
I guess the main takeaway from this thread is to love yourself. And I know it’s corny and we hear that every day but I promise once you have just an ounce of love for yourself your life will be way more peaceful.
