sweden and UK adopted very different policies on covid-19.

this shows up with utter clarity in the google mobility data that shows how their inhabitants altered their behavior.

sweden barely locked down at all and has been back at "normal" levels for a month.

UK: still locked
if lockdowns worked, we'd expect to see this drive a serious divergence in results.

but we don't.

this study of Rt from @AlistairHaimes makes them look all but identical.

did the UK buy anything at all for this this vast price?
we need to be careful of one on one comparisons, but this fits with the broad pattern of lockdowns showing no efficacy from lockdown.

does anyone have this data for more countries?

i'd love to add france, netherlands, ireland, switzerland, US, etc to this Rt analysis.
