Most individual actions are understandable & defensible. But it's the sum total of individual actions that matters! The literal, entire point of public health restrictions is that if we all did the most logical thing to protect us & our families we wld make things worse overall

It's that we're all part of a *chain* that matters. You going to a friends house is unlikely to do anything *on its own*. Millions of ppl doing it though is a v different story! B/C the virus doesn't spread. *You* spread it. To stop that we all have to restrict our movements.

Honestly, in the middle of a pandemic where all our lives and safety depend upon the actions and continued restraint of everyone else "well I did the right thing for *my* family" is...

Like, wanting to protect your family is obviously understandable and I'm sympathetic! It must have been scary & horrible. But the point of the regulations is consideration for ppl who *aren't* you and yours
