been chatting about gender politics / culture recently. evidence suggests women don't tend 2 apply for the big jobs. got any stories of applying / not applying u care 2 share?
i'll start ... after doing an arts council leadership programme 2 years ago i'm inundated by approaches from recruitment consultants re BIG jobs. never considered applying for 1 of them.
i wanna C the jacinda Arden @AdelePatrickGWL @prm_laurita @ward_esme leaders changing things and 2 join their ranks one day without havin to fit into bad pies.
Some upsides to women being more selective in their jobhunts... https://www.bi.team/blogs/women-only-apply-for-jobs-when-100-qualified-fact-or-fake-news/
Paddy Rodgers (director of maritime museum) + Tristram Hunt have little to no museum work experience 2 my knowledge. Presumably the JD required it. Think on that next time U feel intimidated by a JD.
for my part i'm v aware 'the sector' is rooting 4 me, as a symbol of equality activism, 2 occupy 'positional power role' all the better 2 implmnt but i c @reyahn2 is only woc on NMDC and i choke.
