If you had strikes against you, so to speak, beyond your control, wouldn't you take extra care with the elements you COULD control?
Wouldn't you go out of your way to avoid looking political? Wouldn't you make sure you had your story straight, your evidence and witnesses?

Much like LeeAnn Tweeden, there's almost a mocking element to it. An "I dare you" attitude.
Her story is ridiculous on the face of it. Almost none of it makes sense.

But here's the thing - the eyeroll wasn't at Bernie or Tara Reade, it was at ME.
Because the story sounds made up. Who would even say such a thing?
