This is a low blow, but I’m going to throw it anyway:

Michael Gove is tweeting about caring for your children, while his daughter regular goes live on TikTok, speaking — as is her right — extremely openly about her home life and life in general.
Why’s that an issue?

Because he and Sarah Vine — a prominent columnist — are both figures who provoke strong emotions.
I would be far more aware of my child’s online activities if I was a prominent public figure like that. For their safety most of all.

He’s a hypocrite. But then, we knew that didn’t we?
And I’m a journalist who has watched those public broadcasts out of curiosity and who will never try to sell a story on what was said in them.
But imagine what malevolent actors could get from the unfiltered talk of a cabinet member’s daughter?
It’s appalling operational security from a senior minister of HM government. Building up a pattern of daily life from someone’s social media activity is not hard and it’s even easier if they do live video where they answers questions from anyone who asks.
