Nobody cares, but poems & poets need to be prised from their precious shells. We treat poetry like this revered holy ground & then wonder why nobody is reading it, or thinks it’s for them... 1/3

People in my life, friends at work, have told me they’re not clever enough to read my book & that’s an awful thing for people to feel. They think it’s a sacred thing. It shouldn’t be & it’s certainly not what I’m writing 2/3

I write poems in the style of gossip magazines for crying out loud - poetry can just be weird, or having a laugh, or spooky, or whatever, it’s not all having a monumental epiphany in life 3/3
