It's sinking in that remote work is going to be the norm for me for awhile, even once restrictions lift.

Now thinking about how can I make remote work:

- comfortable,
- sustainable
- healthy

Not just "can I get stuff done remote"
It's not just setting up at my dining room table for the day for the occasional heads down session.
Once I had had an external monitor, it became apparent that dining room table wasn't going to work.

Moved a desk I wasn't using out of the den, and put it into my living room.

The den is dark, no windows, and used for storage, cat litter and a view of my washroom - no thanks.
Still not ideal, but it didn't make my living room feel as cramped as I thought it would.

Off to the side is the spot your my balcony - can quickly Stephen outside it I want, or open the door for fresh air / breeze.
Aslo a view of the park across the street - which is a nice view, but can also easily see if there are alot of people there's or not - and will go there for a break now and then.
After a few days of "distracted on my phone in bed until I start working", starting to work towards a morning / end of day routine to better have boundaries on my day.
Without the natural distractions of the office, or even just needing to walk to a different floor for a meeting room - trying to set reminders to get up and move / stretch / etc during the day.
If I've been in back to back zoom meetings - taking a few seconds to do anything few jumping jacks, air squats, side bends or something helps.

Or doing a vacuum / sweep / quick tidy of a room. Gets me moving a bit, and helps stay ontop of chores.
Still a work in progress, and occasionally still have the "roll from bed to desk and then hit move all day" days happen.

Changes take time, and some habits might work out better than others.
