I might disagree with some colleagues on this who are brilliant students of black politics but I just doubt that this moves the needle much. Among some subset of young black folks it may solidify thoughts of Biden as out of touch, but I’m just not certain this matters that much.

And, to be clear, this doesn’t mean Dem pols can say anything and get away with it. That ain’t it. But there’s a broad ethos I’ve observed among blk folks that ain’t as responsive to bullshit as some others are. Perhaps this is in line w/thesis of @Davin_Phoenix’s brilliant work.
