kay we gave up on Felt cause it's not to our interests, and so far Songs For The Late Night Drive Home has had the enveloping sound we want for TENSION. So far so good with these two, will overlook a few more before deciding to keep it on the purchase list, and then one more

there /are/ a few.... instruments/sounds that stand out more than I think they ought to, so they feel inappropriately mixed/incorporated. This happens with a lot of music though, the more I'm branching out into music I like physically feeling. I guess I notice it easier.

It's funny tho cause it reminds me of early early 80s synth, where it was still limited. It's almost like they're only starting to learn the depths that synth stylization in music and sound can bring.

oo fuck yeah this is a strong opening song for The Quiet Life. It's hilariously more upbeat than the previous album, which for it's long name has a lot more soothing intonations to it. xD I'd drive to this first song before the other one any night.

oof Find Me has a beatles sound to it that we don't enjoy, but the chorus is nice. -sits and will listen to it further to decide-

The Quiet Life feels experimental and very "beatles"-esque overall. So 2 outta four ain't bad tbh. I like half, and I'm excited to see where the band keeps going cause they hit such a high point with TENSION.

Since the mom is a delight and she is in love with TENSION too, she's gonna be buying it, and we'll share Songs For The Late Night Drive Home with her and see if she vibes with it too.
