Starving for art & galleries closed? There’s lots to see in person, spread out across TO. Window galleries, alleyways & 400+ public artworks & more clandestine ones make TO a city of art. This is the spring/summer to see it all, sez me in the @TorontoStar https://www.thestar.com/opinion/contributors/2020/05/22/whether-its-a-window-display-a-photo-on-a-wall-or-a-carved-boulder-theres-art-to-be-seen-in-person-in-toronto.html">https://www.thestar.com/opinion/c...
The official City of Toronto public works are found downtown to the edges and while it’s been difficult to know where they all are in the past, they’ve been newly mapped out here. You’ll be surprised how much there is. #location=&lat=43.716527&lng=-79.370728">https://www.toronto.ca/explore-enjoy/history-art-culture/public-art/public-art-map/ #location=&lat=43.716527&lng=-79.370728">https://www.toronto.ca/explore-e...

The @ContactPhoto fest went online but 3 of 150 exhibitions managed to be installed before lockdown. Here’s work by Christina Leslie exploring her Jamaican-Canadian heritage at @blackartndialog Gallery in Parkdale last eve. Sidewalk viewing. More may be installed over time. – at BAND Gallery

"Maple Leaf Trellis" & "Maple Leaf Fence" are repeating works by Dutch art collective Demakersvan - they do this intricate chain link work that& #39;s rather interesting.
