. @Apple removed the update description from its 13.5 release. They clearly don’t want people knowing this update has CONTACT TRACING in it. What else are you hiding from the people . @tim_cook?
Update: I’m getting reports that some people are seeing the description and others aren’t. That screenshot was taken on my phone minutes ago. I will continue to monitor it on my end.
Update: The description is now showing on my end again. As you can see from the screenshot, it wasn’t there at one point. I don’t know what they’re screwing around with in Cupertino, but they’re not going to get away with it. Moral of the story: DO NOT UPDATE.
I know the ability to track us via our mobile devices is already there and most of us have opted into it for the convenience of technology. However, COVID is the justification many states are using to literally rip us or our family from our homes in the name of “health & safety.”
We didn’t opt in to that. I know I certainly didn’t. That is why it is important to draw attention to these new COVID tracing and reporting features.
Update: Some people have informed me that the update description is present on their iPhones but blank on their iPads. Interesting.
