It’s happening.

This is the first mk2 prototype of the SMD Component Magazines.

TONS of advantages over the 1st generation.

You now no longer need to choose a specific height. This one magazine can hold components from 0 to ~ 10mm thickness.

So there basically is one single product you could order in any quantity you like. No need to choose between different versions.

The spring not only allows for different heights but also applies a clamping force to the strip.

That not only holds it a lot sturdier (so components don’t fall out so when bumping against it) but also prevents unused components from falling out when the magazine is stored away.

Also you can now easily detach it from the rail when amongst others magazines.

You previously had to awkwardly grab underneath the strips to get a hold.

Also very important is that the tape now gets peeled off right at the end.

No components breaking loose and no clogging up the path anymore.
