Sorry, but you're an embarrassment as Attorney General.

This is why we need a senior, experienced, bold lawyer as AG, to give the Govt impartial advice. Not someone so grateful to have been promoted beyond their rank that they just say whatever the Prime Minister wants to hear. https://twitter.com/SuellaBraverman/status/1264174355975671810

Parents are feeling guilty enough for not being allowed to fully be there for their children these past months. Same for people with elderly parents. Prioritising this appalling govt's advice over everything else.

That's bad enough without govt shaming us for being bad parents.
But ministers are right. We're bad parents and families for following govt guidance.

Not the first time I've felt dirty and guilty for following laws made by the Tories.

Not the first time they've issued guidance that goes against basic family life principles and human values.
This is exactly what I'm going to say in my letter to the Home Office next time they try to deport a parent without their children or a child without their parents.

Or, indeed, a good defence when someone gets caught stealing baby food for their child. https://twitter.com/michaelgove/status/1264126108733186050?s=19
1: Cummings wouldn't know the "right thing" if it came and bit him on the nose.

2: At least he admits that the right thing is usually not what the Tories tell you to do.

3: Are we all allowed to do the right thing? Put family before following the law? https://twitter.com/Channel4News/status/1264192284213555200?s=19
TFW you're sitting there thinking what @SuellaBraverman says just reflects on her and the government, so nothing to do with you.

And then you remember that she's technically "Leader of the Bar" too.
Can't wait for a Downing Street person to smuggle a family member into UK, so ministers start tweeting about doing right thing, being caring & looking after vulnerable people. How family needs to come before everything else & how people who prioritise the law over family are bad.
Is @grantshapps the only Cabinet minister not to tweet in defence of Cummings?

Did Downing Street decide to keep him "clean" just so they had someone for today's briefing? https://twitter.com/Telegraph/status/1264208480472367104?s=19
We would react the way we react when you deport our family members, or indefinitely detain them, or cruelly stop a family's benefits.

By accepting the law is what it is, even if it's inhumane and immoral. By challenging the law. Openly. We don't defy it. https://twitter.com/JohnHyde1982/status/1264219766509711360?s=19
Wonder if I can use this defence when I get caught smuggling my wife and children into the UK, because nasty, inhumane Tory immigration rules won't allow me to legally sponsor them? https://twitter.com/michaelgove/status/1264126108733186050?s=19
The Tories are cruel, nasty, selfish, duplicitous hypocrites who think they're above the law. End of story. https://twitter.com/OliverDowden/status/1264221876374646786?s=19
What selfish, nasty parents. Any caring person knows the best thing to do is drive hundreds of miles to a relative's house to take the children there. Perfectly safe and allowed by the Regulations. Idiotic, lazy parents who didn't think of that. https://twitter.com/SocietyGuardian/status/1264228482445217792?s=19
Can't deny the ratioes are delicious though...
"All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others". https://twitter.com/TobyWhithouse/status/1264216249044742147?s=19
"Requested to give advice", "ordered to give advice". What's the difference? https://twitter.com/TomRHickman/status/1264237057758683142?s=19
As it happens, I do know someone who would benefit from proper legal advice today... https://twitter.com/clivebull/status/1264239715642937345?s=19
I bet they did know it. It's just a risk they were happy to take. What's the worst that can happen if they destroy their reputations and bring the whole system into question? Still much better than what would happen to them if they displeased Cummings. https://twitter.com/Okwonga/status/1264209773865709569?s=19
This point isn't even a matter of opinion or interpretation. It's a fact - that either happened or didn't. And no way either party could be unaware of it if it did happen.

So who's openly lying? Downing Street or the police? https://twitter.com/DailyMirror/status/1264241523987812352?s=19
