Hey @chrislhayes you planning to address the Tara Reade story again now that it has been revealed to be BS? Would be helpful and responsible.
Falling for disinformation is not a crime. It’s good to be honest and transparent with viewers.
Here’s why it’s good practice for people like Chris Hayes and Rebecca Traister to address their reporting mistakes. Because this is only May. November is many more disinformation campaigns away. We aren’t even at October surprise. Game on, guys.
Mistakes were made. This is human. Our loyalty is supposed to be to the truth not our own egos.
You pushed this as a legitimate story, @chrislhayes. It’s time to own up.
Full disclosure here, the mistakes I’ve made as a reporter blogger pundit over the years would fill a book. I am a serial mistake maker who learned to own them and eat crow and TRY HARDER and DO BETTER.
