yaoi is an insulting term made for the sole purpose of fetishising mlm as it roughly translates into "no climax, no fall and no meaning" basically reducing and dehumanising mlm relationships to sex for women to fetishise

however yuri roughly translates to "lily(as in the flower)" and is mainly written by wlw themself and consumed by wlw (me including lol)
there is nothing wrong with guys liking yuri! thats not inherently fetishising

shounen ai is the genre of "boys love" and is basically mlm yuri, focusing on the actual relationships and telling a story

shoujo ai is the genre of "girls love" and is basically another term for yuri
the west prefers this term as they mistake yuri for having the same fetishising meaning as yaoi which is what im disproving in this thread

citrus is a good example of BAD yuri and yuri being treated like yaoi
its problematic and is written for the fetishisation of wlw
