MOONLIGHT: as an opening track this is perfect bc all though it doesn't prepare you for the absolute beast that comes at #2, his retrospection of his work so far (including directly quoting his lyrics) and his thoughts on change within you vs change around you are sign that

you never know what's to come next. Also, for me this song is parallel to Interlude: Shadow in a sense that in both songs he's talking about questioning his love for smth he's dedicated his life to so far, but where Shadow is the "breaking free" moment after that realization,

Moonlight is the thought already settled down in his mind. He knows that's it's normal to be stuck, it's normal to not be satisfied with everything you do, but also that those moments do not define you. I think that this difference is felt in the music itself too,

Moonlight is a lot more chill/low key a lofi track, like a song you can listen to you while you're sitting on your balcony and looking at the moon and just thinking about those moments in life and being content with them.

This is EXACTLY what I was expecting of Agust D, especially in the big year of 2020. Given the fact that this alias is an extension/outlet of Yoongi it's really no surprise to see him channel his anger in such a way. Everything about this track is grandiose and it's exactly

how it should be since we've all seen the boys being wronged and/or being used as an excuse for other people's bs in different situations year after year and they still don't address the issues openly. And this is the culmination of those unspoken thoughts.

I won't comment further on how precise his shots are in his lyrics, I think we covered that yesterday Music wise this is UNGODLY. The way he mixes something this specific from Korean culture (military marching music) with his own beats is above and beyond anything I've heard

from him. Like I knew he was capable of anything and this still gave me whiplash. WHAT DO YOU THINK: yeah Yoongi is crazy for this. Like #2 this is a response to all the bs that comes their way, but I think this one is a little bit more personal, compared to the issues with the industry as a whole. The things he's mentioning are things the boys have been asked

DIRECTLY and they've always been very short in their answers (if they've given an answer at all). It's very uplifting to see him go completely berserk with this since armys have been getting the same bs from the media/industry/stan twt for as long as I remember

and then we get even more bs for being aggressive when we defend the boys, when this happens literally every week after every inconvenience in the industry. And yeah, all this time we've been saying what's actually on Yoongi's mind and now he said it directly too so

Also speaking of the way that what he said is what we've been saying all along really ties with the idea of idolization and worshiping (the Jim Jones sample). Yes, he knows how a lot of people view us as a fandom - some modern mindless cult, but he also knows that those comments

are made by people who only consider our existence after we fight back when someone drags the boys. So he's actually bass boosting our voices and adding his own when answering the dumb shit they get asked/are used as scapegoats for the industry.
