I am really quite angry about the #cummings affair and at all the people on here trying to excuse his actions. I rarely personalise my anger, but there has been a death in the family since lockdown. I couldn’t drive up to the North to pay respects #DoubleStandards

If I’d driven the 200 miles to comfort my cousin, her children, my aunt and uncle on their tragic loss I would have been rightly fined and turned back. I didn’t do it, being one of the little people for whom these rules are made #cummings

I realise I’m not even all that angry about #cummings himself. After all, I don’t know the man and he is what he is. What made me so angry was the people defending him, and that includes members of the cabinet.
