One complaint I've seen in ORDER OF THE PURE MOON reviews is it doesn't have much fighting for wuxia. This is because the truth is ORDER doesn't belong to the wuxia genre. What it actually is is the fanfic of a(n imaginary) 50-episode wuxia TV series https://zencho.org/books/the-order-of-the-pure-moon-reflected-in-water/
Canon:
- almost no female characters. This is a man's world
- beautiful lead with chaotic bisexual energy
- uglyhot supporting character becomes surprise fan favourite
- all the kungfu
- everyone is straight
- huge fanbase ships beautiful lead/uglyhot fan fave

ORDER OF THE PURE MOON REFLECTED IN WATER:
- one of the few fanfics that is not Lau Fung Cheung/Tet Sang
- invents a Mary Sue
- everyone is queer
- trans headcanon for major character
- focus on feels over fighting
- complicates canon worldbuilding
- 5 hits, 0 kudos

As someone who often focuses on female characters in dude-heavy canons I can tell you that hits:kudos ratio is 100% authentic. (Ok maybe it's a slight exaggeration but it's not far off!!)
Anyway if that sounds fun you can pre-order the novella now https://zencho.org/books/the-order-of-the-pure-moon-reflected-in-water/ It's out next month!
