Over 100 million people didn’t vote in 2016, and this year will be a battle for those ‘nonvoters’ so stop saying they don’t matter. They will matter in the general, and @the100_million did a study identifying these nonvoters.

When we look at 2016, we can clearly see there is a large percentage of people we need to motivate to vote this election. We need to encourage these nonvoters to help us get a clear win in November. #VoteLikeYouWantToWin /2

53% of nonvoters are women, and nonvoters between 25-45 make up 50%. Though non-voters are predominantly white (65%), minorities comprised a greater share of nonvoters than of active voters at 34% versus 28%. /3

Nonvoters are almost equally Democrat, Republican and Independent, and 71% of these nonvoters intend to vote this election. More voters, and especially young voters, want Trump out. /5

The biggest form of voter suppression is convincing people that their vote doesn’t matter. This is why Trump pushes election fraud and helps ‘validate’ why people think their vote doesn’t matter.

If we focused on fighting apathy, we would gain 42% more voters. /6
