I listened to Doja Cat& #39;s "Dindu Nuffin" and it was awful, however, I don& #39;t think the intention was to perpetuate racism but more so reflect it. It& #39;s not happy or sarcastic in a way that parodies would be, it& #39;s pretty somber.

I& #39;d say it& #39;s akin to Jay Z& #39;s "Story of OJ" (cont.)
The lyrics are evocative, for many it& #39;s incredibly uncomfortable. In the hook, every other word is the n word. He speaks on black people not to pit them down but as a reflection of his own grievances with topics like street violence, black history and black erasure.
I don& #39;t think Doja Cat is innocent, associating with incredibly harmful people is wrong and problematic and she should be judged for such, it& #39;s just when people bring up the "Dindu Nuffin" song, it feels taken wildly out of it& #39;s original contextual narrative.
