In the midst of watching kdrama made me realise that we have changed our perspectives of what "success" really is.
This tweet is not to say we have totally given up on material success, financial stability etc. I do see the importance of these.

But we have also come to realise that superficiality is not the answer to everything. We recognised the importance of personal/individual happiness.
Some may say money is the key to happiness. So my above tweet is pointless bcos ultimately financial stability prevails.

But if this is really the case, why do some people forsake certain privileges for other things. Why do some people forsake positions (eg: job) for passion?
When the pursuit of one's passion clearly means securing an inferior economic success.
This thread may come off as obvious. Like why am I stating smth that is right in our faces.

But I find it interesting how societies shift their views about issues. How did the change happen? How long did it take? Will another change happen? Will we return to the past? Etc
